Operation Giveback 2025

SNAP benefits are down for 800K+ New Jerseyans. Families are feeling it. UAC is moving fresh produce from our farmers to schools, pantries, and community partners.

Operation Giveback 2025 is a collaborative community effort led by Urban Agriculture Cooperative and Outdoors On Purpose. UAC is a proud member of the citywide coalition moving with urgency and coordination so families have access to fresh food when it matters most. We source from small + mid-sized farms, pay fair prices to our growers, and rally volunteers, staff, local businesses, and partners like OOP to get food into the hands of community hubs—schools, pantries, and nonprofits—who distribute it where it’s needed most.

Your time and support help bring fresh, healthy produce to individuals and families who are experiencing food insecurity. We’re grateful for your participation and commitment to giving back.

Please complete the form below to confirm your participation and select your preferred volunteer date and shift.

Together, we’re making a meaningful difference!

Warehouse Packing

The Urban Agriculture Cooperative (UAC) is a Newark-based nonprofit working to build a resilient, community-rooted food system. We connect small and mid-sized farms to families, schools, pantries, and healthcare providers across New Jersey—ensuring fresh, local produce reaches thousands of residents each year. Throughout the week, we pack wholesale and farm-to-family boxes for community partners (food pantries, schools, and nonprofit organizations), and we could use extra hands to help with our large orders!
